Do you ever wish that you could blot out all the darkness and hurt in the world? Well, I have. But there are limits, perhaps. I'm only one person...and what difference can one person make, right? Well, honestly I think one person can do PLENTY. Ghandi said, "We should be the change we wish to be in the world." Better still, Jesus tells us clearly in that we were to be His voice, His hands, His feet, His active presence in this world. It is my mission to help bring beauty, light, and joy into people's lives in whatever way I can. To attempt to make this world a brighter, happier, place for my children, and for theirs. I want everyone I know, and all of those I don't, to at least have the opportunity to live a life of happiness: to glow with complete joy and fulfillment in all arenas of their life. I use the term collective because nothing I do is done alone. Christ of course is with me in all things, but in all truth I am constantly inspired and supported by my friends and family. It is a beautiful thing.
In case you're curious here are a few fun facts about me in no particular order:
I was born and raised in Hawaii, on the northshore of the Island Oahu. I have a deep love for the ocean, but a deep fear of water when I cannot see the bottom!
I am single mother to two wonderful little ones, a sister, and an aunt. I was previously married for 7 years...more to come on that later.
I am a full time student.
I am a lover of good DIY projects, and I wish I had time to do more. Here you will likely see me tackle some fun ones.
I am a perfectionist when it comes to the creative endeavors I undertake, yet tend to be quite carefree with the more mundane things in life (like my bank account, eesh).
I am obsessive about grammar and spelling.
I am fluent in sarcasm.
I love listening to people with accents, and for some reason find English accents particularly relaxing. I often tackle insomnia with British films.
I am a lover of all things fashion, but particularly accessories.
My personal style reflects a penchant for "classics with a twist."
I am completely enamored with: animal prints, sparkles, and stripes; Interior Design, Painting, Music, Reading; COOKING & CLEAN EATING (No white sugar, white flour, processed foods, ect.) and you will definitely see some recipes here.
I am generally an indoor girl unless its sunny outside, which usually only occurs about 60 days out of the year in Seattle...or on the offhand chance that my "outdoor adventure" includes outdoor shopping...or cocktails.
I am absolutely in love with Jesus, my two amazing kiddos, and our dog.
